Miracle Cup is an incentive program that we use to reward campus organizations for their commitment to helping Palmetto Health Children's Hospital through Dance Marathon. The winning organizations will receive a trophy and prizes!
There are two tiers of competition:
-Tier A includes larger organizations (Greek/Sports Teams/Student Government)
-Tier B includes smaller organizations (Residence Life dorms, Groups of friends, etc)
Qualifications for Miracle Cup 2009
-A competition between group organizations participating in Dance Marathon designed to help us reach our fundraising goal for the Palmetto Health Children's Hospital
-There will be two "tiers" for miracle cup to give everyone a fair chance. Larger organizations (Greek/Sports Teams/Student Gov) will be tier A, while smaller groups (Residence life dorms/groups of friends/etc.) will be tier B
Requirements
-Organizations can team up, but only 2 groups per team for both tier A and B
-40% of the organization has to be registered to DM
-The DM liaison for each group has to attend 75% of liaison meetings
-During DM, one member of each organization must be present at all times
Point System
- For every dollar donated, your team gets 1 point up to $150, and 2 points per every dollar which exceeds $150
- 5 points for every liaison meeting
- 5 points for every volunteer at events
- 5 points per person who participates in theme hours at DM
- 10 points for every participant at an event (including percent nights)
- 10 points per hour, per person at Dance Marathon
- 25 points for a morale leader and exec member in your organization
- 25 points per person who participates in the 5k
- 50 points for submitting a banner at DM
- Teams:
- Teaming up with a Fraternity = 50 points
- Greek and Non Greek Organization teaming up = 50 points
- Old group (someone who has done DM before) with a New Group (a group who has never done DM before) = 50 points
All points will be recorded up until Dance Marathon and on the day of the event. Each liaison will be updated on how many points their group has obtained and the winner will be announced during the closing ceremonies.
