Hello friends and family,

Today at the University of South Carolina, Dance Marathon is celebrating Forever To Thee Kids Day. This day is meant to bring attention to the promises and dedication our campus has made to the children at Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital. By doing so, Dance Marathon has named FTTK as their largest fundraising day leading up to main event.

Dance Marathon as an organization has a goal of raising over $119,000 in just 24 hours. In addition to that I am trying to raise $________ to show my compassion and support for this amazing cause and I look forward to standing 14 hours For The Kids on March 2, 2019. However, this day is way more than the dollar amount raised at the end of the 24 hours, because it is raising awareness and continuously reminding Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital of our commitment to make an impact.

If you can contribute in any way it is appreciated.

Thank you so much,

Hi friends and family,

I am excited to announce that today is Dance Marathon’s Forever To Thee Kids day at University of South Carolina. Today is centered around creating awareness for this amazing organization and Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital. FTTK day is Dance Marathon’s largest fundraising push day to prove the miracles that can be made in just 24 hours.

Today, Dance Marathon as a whole has a goal to raise $119,000 in just 24 hours. To do my part, I have set a personal fundraising goal of $____ for today to put my promises in action. More importantly, today is more than just the dollar amount raised at the end of the 24 hours but the meaning behind why we all are involved. This organization has touched many students at UofSC and around the country by showing what a group of students can achieve together.

If you can contribute in any way it is appreciated.

Thank you so much,

Dear __,

Around this time last year, you became part of a force of student dancers and supporters that helped USC Dance Marathon raise $1,025,171 for the kids and build a fully accessible playground at Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital. Thank you so much for making this possible!! As you know, the money we raise goes directly to the Child Life Program which allows children to experience a normal, happy, and comfortable life during their time at the hospital. This year, our goal is to raise 1.19 Million Dollars in honor of the 119 beds in the Children’s Hospital.

Over the past _____ years, this organization has become a passion and purpose of mine and has been one of the best parts of my college experience. After my ___(previous experience)___, I now enter my ___  year as a ___(current role)___ with a personal goal of $___. I promise to reach this milestone for the kids and families that depend on my efforts. Today is a big opportunity to make strides toward my goal as USCDM holds its biggest fundraising push of the year, Forever To Thee Kids Day.  Today we are aiming to raise $119,000 in 24 hours, and my personal goal for the day is $___.

I would appreciate any support that you give me for the kids and families experiencing pediatric illness and injury, whether it be donations, prayers, or good wishes! 100% of contributions will benefit our local hospital and are tax deductible. Please find the link to donate online here  ___(insert link)__.

Many employers will also match donations. If you are comfortable, please ask your employer if they will double your donation by matching it!

Dear _____,

As you may already know, I am involved with an organization called Dance Marathon at the University of South Carolina. We fully fund the Child Life Program at Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital (PHCH), which aims to make these children more comfortable during their stay in the hospital and provide them with opportunities to have fun and just be kids whenever possible.

Each floor of PHCH has its own play room, and with such a large variety of toys and activities to keep the patients’ minds off of treatment, there is a large cost barrier to keep the playrooms stocked and safe for kids.  Every single dollar we raise truly counts; to give you an idea of the impact of monetary amounts, here are the prices of just some of the items used by the Child Life program staff:

  • $32 - 25 cans of play doh used per week.

  • $40 - 60 batteries used per week.

  • $200 - 10 birthday celebrations per month.

To help fully fund the Child Life Program including these playrooms, Dance Marathon raises money throughout the year.  Today is our biggest fundraising day of the year, Forever To Thee Kids Day (FTTK Day), and we aim to raise $119,000 in 24 hours.  If you are able to donate anything at all, it would be so appreciated. My personal goal for the day/year is $_____. All donations made through my link are completely tax deductible, and you can donate safely and securely online.  If you would like to donate, you can do so through my donor drive at __(insert link)____.

Also, many employers will match donations. If you are comfortable, please ask your employer if they will double your donation by matching it!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read about Dance Marathon, and specifically FTTK Day.

Forever to the Kids,

Short Email

Hello!

I have been working hard this school year along with over 2,000 USC students to raise money for USC Dance Marathon (USCDM) supporting Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital (PHCH), my local Children's Miracle Network hospital. The money I raise will help the hospital offer the best possible care to sick and injured kids through the Child Life Program.

This program uses interactive play and conversation to acclimate the child and their siblings to the hospital or their new diagnosis and prepare them for procedures.  The work that the Child Life Specialists do is vital to helping the kids and their families heal, so I've set my overall goal fundraising goal for this year at $___.

On January 30th, USCDM is having our biggest fundraising day of the year, Forever To Thee Kids Day (FTTK Day). This year, we aim to raise $119,000 in 24 hours, and I'm confident that we can get there, but we need your help!

Would you consider making a donation to my Dance Marathon page and helping me reach my fundraising goal? Every cent counts and donations are tax deductible. If you would like to help, you can click here to donate safely and securely online: __(insert link)____.

Also, many employers will match donations. If you are comfortable, please ask your employer if they will double your donation by matching it!

Thank you for your time and consideration of this cause.

Forever to the kids,
